Flycreek Volunteer Project

The F&R Lake assoc. has contracted to clean the creek shown on the attached map. We are asking for volunteers to help in this project. For those able to volunteer, we are looking for days and times you will be available.

The assoc. has purchased two 20″ chain saws and we have the lifting equipment from our last project. If you have  experience in directional tree cutting, we would plan on doing this work prior to moving the debris from the creek. Please note this when you volunteer. Reply to this message ,PM, or email me with your available times.

Thanks

To the best of my knowledge and in my opinion the Channel on Fish Lake just Northwest of the Channel that connects the two lakes is part of the lake. This is a man-made channel and is considered part of the lake by the county and the DNR. When it comes to putting in a seawall of altering the shoreline or pier they have to go through the same steps for permitting as any lake front resident. Although the channel lots are usually less valued monetarily than lake front real estate this does not mean it is not part of the lake. This also does not mean the Lake Association is required to pay any money to do work on the channel that is part of the lake but should recognize this channel is considered to be part of the lake just the same.

8/19/19 Bass Tournament Complaints

Members who observe anyone speeding on either of our lakes should call and report these incidents to the sheriff’s office at      260-463-7491. If you can get a picture of the boat, especially the registration numbers, this would be helpful to the sheriff.

This is the proper procedure to handle these situations.
